Our supported living service is individually tailored, with the aim to meet the needs and aspirations of the individuals we support and helping them to live life to the fullest. We adopt a ‘whole life’ person-centred approach to supporting people, using outcome-based processes to enable us to work with individuals to identify the things they need, the things they want to do and the things they want to achieve.
Personal Care
Our range of personal care services is really broad, but here are some of the daily activities we support people with:
- Support with getting up and going to bed.
- Getting dressed and undressed.
- Support with continence care.
- Cleaning / Shaving
- Awareness of personal hygiene
Companionship Care
Companion care is primarily emotional support and companionship for elderly individuals who are generally healthy and who want to remain independent in their homes.
Because our Care staff are matched to each individuals’ need, this will enable them understand your needs when offering companion services such as escorting for socials activities, day trips and or company.
Specialist Care
We offer specialist tasks such as: assisting with artificial feeding, catheter care, assistance with eye or ear drops and medication administration.
These tasks may be undertaken only following appropriate risk assessments and specific training by a trainer with a relevant qualification, e.g. occupational therapist, speech therapist, or nurse.
Medication Care
All of our staff have completed medication administration training to ensure that they are competent to safely support people with their medication. We have robust policies and procedures in place and always follow national regulations and recommendations regarding the administration of medication.
We regularly liaise with GPs, Pharmacists, District Nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe practices are maintained.
Housekeeping Care
If you are finding household jobs like cleaning difficult, then we can help. Whether it’s support with specific jobs that you are having particular difficulty with, or you’d like us to give your home a regular full clean, our sensitive and skilled staff will do things just the way you like them to be done.
We provide housekeeping support such as: taking out the bins, dusting, hoovering, decluttering, feeding the cat and even washing and ironing.
Shopping & Meal Preparations
As you get older it can become more difficult to get out and about, especially to do things like your food shopping when you have heavy bags to carry. This is something we can help with, either by going with you to the shops, going to the shops for you or ordering over the internet.
Maintaining a balanced diet is an important part of keeping healthy. Our Care staff can either help individuals to prepare and cook meals or actually cook meals for them.
